Sorry for missing last week, but vacationing with little kids really takes the energy out of you.
What's New
Most of the work in the past two weeks has been around missions. Patrol missions are now functioning in the campaign mode, and the player's active mission is remembered through saving and loading. I've also added placeholder detailed representations for Cachette, Jameson Depot, and La Grotte. These will at some point be replaced with architecturally distinct stations, representing their more haphazard construction as outlaw stations. If I can manage it, La Grotte will also be largely contained within a cave that's been drained of water.
Patch Notes
- Work on getting patrol missions functioning in the campaign.
- Fixes for mission tracking and loading patrol missions in the campaign.
- Fixes for divers not returning to subs in the campaign.
- Improvements to undocking UI, no longer tied to the player's sub position.
- Adding detailed stations for Cachette and Jameson Depot
- Fix trade agents not properly docking while in detailed sim.
- Trade intermediary logic and reworked trade route generation.
- Added detailed station for La Grotte
What's Next
I'm currently working on a new map screen, which will show you the entire globe, and track points of interest you've discovered (like settlements). This will also replace the currently rather awkward solution of permanent settlement waypoints. I plan on having this done by next week.
