Weekly Progress #31


What's New

This week was spent going through the mechanical guts of submarines and reworking them to use the module based system detailed last week. The mechanics changes are all in place, and the AI spawning has been updated, what's left is to update vendors.

This new system will replace the existing way of buying submarines and turrets. As you can see above there's quite a bit of customization potential, with modules that govern every aspect of a submarine's performance outside of it's basic shape and mounting points. This system is maybe half-way done, so optimistically you'll be able to get your hands on it by next week.

Patch Notes

  • Fix crash related to spyglass torpedo in shops.
  • Fix torpedo switching not working in new UI.
  • Fix incorrect starter sub.
  • Improve target info panel.

What's Next

I expect finishing the vendor rework for modular submarines to take the whole week, if not a little longer.
